A Poem For Kylee

While it is doubtful that you have ever heard of these wonderful writers although their talents are worthy of publication. As you will see, these gifted individuals write with a passion that speaks to the heart and feeds the soul. May you be filled after reading these inspiring poems.

This treasure was written by my sister-in-law, JoAnne Norris. Because Jo (as I call her) has four children at home she rarely writes anymore...I wish she did. If you wish Jo would find the time to continue writing beautiful poems such as this one, email me and I will send her comments on to her. Let's inspire this wonderful poet to get back to work. The world needs to read more of her written gifts!

TOMORROW
By JoAnne Norris copyright 1988

Where there is tranquility
Is where I want to be
With the birds that are sailing
To the end of eternity.

Away from the sorrows
Of a life passed us by
Where there is tomorrow
And dreams never die.

Where friendships are bound
With unbreakable strings
Where winters pass by
To sunshiny springs.

Where beauty is
In the eye of the beholder
And gentleness comes
As we all grow older.

Where you can laugh
And your eyes can gleam
And you need not worry
About foreign things.

Someday I'll find
My "tomorrow" place
And rest myself there
Where I can be safe.

Often to find
More tender care
And I wouldn't leave
My "tomorrow" anywhere.

I'll keep on looking
To find "tomorrow's" sign
That tells me it's alright
That there I'll be fine.

Peace comes from within
The saying's not new
And when I find "tomorrow"
I'll know that it is true.

This poem was written by Robert H. Reilly, Jr. Robert was initially a patient of mine, who, when we got past the "patient roll" crap became a very good friend. Robert had Muscular Dystropy and needed a ventilator to breathe. He was an amazing man who knew all the lyrics and names of the artists who had recorded in the last 20 years but poetry was his "thing". Even though his hands were terribly twisted he always managed to find someone to put a pencil between his fingers in order to write. Robert is gone now but his poems live on for the world to read and his antics still bring a chuckle to my lips.  Adios my friend. If you would like to read more of Robert's poems email me and I will put some more up.

The Girl Who's Lost Inside My Mind
By Robert H. Reilly, Jr. copyright 8/11/92

I'm searching for a girl that I may never find
I'm looking for the girl who's lost inside my mind
In the mirrors of my dreams sometimes I'll see
Her and all she reflects.
And when I awake if I have been with her I feel
So alone, whenever we're together it's worse
Than being by myself.

So to make myself feel better and to help me
To remember, I'll just paint a portrait of
Her from deep inside my heart.
For me when we are apart
Every color an emotion, the brush will be
My LOVE
I will be putting down each stroke upon
The canvass of my soul.

And so now you realize
Only I can recognize the girl who's
Lost inside my mind when I gaze into her eyes.
Then my heart sighs there she is at last
My heart no longer cries!
